The surge vessel HYDROPAN for sewage/waste water is connected, or in line, or as a shunt, to the exhaust pipe, just after the pumping station. |

As all hydropneumatic vessels HYDROPAN must be pre-inflated. A surge analysis has been done, so the exact pre-inflating pressure has been exactely calculated - This data must be applyed. No surge analysis done. The following data must be collected in order to realize this study. This will permit to verify if the caracteristics of the surge vessel are up-to-date. click here to know the necessary data to submit, for a surge analysis PARTICULARITY WITH A NIL PRE-INFLATION PRESSURE The surge vessels HYDROPAN for sewage/waste water are often installed near pumping stations with not very high up of exhaust. The surge analysis sometimes concludes to a nil pre-inflation pressure. As no manometer can indicate millibar, you have to applicate the following procedure : - Connect the surge vessel with the exhaust pipe. - Open the draincock of the exhaust pipe. - Proceed slowly with pre-inflating - Survey the escape of air from the draincock. - Stop the pre-inflating as soon as no air escapes from the draincock. - The air contained into the bladder has now been ejected. and the pre-inflating value is very close to nil - Proceed to the commissioning of the surge vessel. FOR ANY PRE-INFLATING VALUE, YOU MUST CHECK FOR LEAKS As pre-inflating values of a surge vessel HYDROPAN for sewage/waste water are relatively low, it is quite impossible to detect leaks with this pre-inflating value. - In order to detect more easily a possible leak, you need more pressure. So after the commissioning of the surge vessel, when you have reached the static pressure, you have now the possibility to check for leaks. As the surge vessel HYDROPAN for sewage/waste water has no level gauge, the risk of leaks is lower. Dont hesitate to empty the surge vessel to solve an airtighness. |
